Vegas Music Venues
If you’re coming to a Vegas concert, or thinking about going to one, you might be interested in knowing a little more about the various Vegas music venues. Here’s a quick overview of the different Vegas concert venues.
Vegas Concert Venues

The New Joint at the Hard Rock – The New Joint at the Hard Rock (featured in the photo above) is an impressive Vegas concert venue that attracts the best rock bands and musicians in the world. The venue underwent a major $60 million renovation, and opened to the public in 2009. The New Joint has quickly won numerous awards as being one of the best new venues in the country. Its relatively intimate size (with a capacity for approximately 4000 guests), its stellar acoustics, and its hip re-design make it an incredible place to see a show. Check it out!
Wasted Space at the Hard Rock – Wasted Space is a very small Vegas music venue that has a club-like feel, with capacity for approximately 350 people. It’s a great little space for an evening of dancing and rockin’ out with a band.
Mandalay Bay Events Center – Mandalay Bay’s event venue can seat approximately 12,000 people.
MGM Grand Garden Arena – MGM Grand’s Garden Arena is one of the larger venues on the Vegas Strip, with capacity for approximately 17,000 people. Its large size and proximity to all the top hotels make it a favorite for some of the big bands and musicians. Despite its larger size, it still has a somewhat intimate feel – likely due in part to its wrap-around design that was fashioned after New York’s Madison Square Garden.
House of Blues – HOB Las Vegas is a great small venue inside of Mandalay Bay hotel and casino that can hold approximately 1900 people. It’s a highly themed space, which we believe creates a great atmosphere. The venue has a standing-only floor space combined with several levels of seating and viewing space. We love its intimate feel that allows you to close-up views of the band or musician. If one of your favorite bands or musicians is playing at HOB Las Vegas, then do yourself a big favor and get tickets to it – you can’t get much better than this!!!
The Pearl at the Palms – The Pearl is a hip and intimate Vegas concert venue that seats approximately 2500.
Sam Boyd Stadium – Sam Boyd Stadium is an enormous outdoor venue, with capacity to seat approximately 40,000 people.
Thomas and Mack Center – This venue can seat approximately 18000 people, and is located on the UNLV campus.
The Colosseum at Caesars Palace – The Colosseum can seat approximately 4300 people. It is typically used for ongoing or semi-regular Vegas concerts, such as Cher, Bette Midler, Celine Dion and the like.
Planet Hollywood’s Theatre for the Performing Arts – Planet Hollywood’s concert venue is a mid-sized Las Vegas music venue that can hold approximately 7000 people. The venue was completely renovated when the hotel was renovated a few years ago.
Orleans Arena – Orleans Arena at the Orleans Hotel and Casino is a Las Vegas music venue that can seat approximately 9000 people.
