Baby Java is an adorable male leopard cub who is the newest family member at Siegried and Roy's Secret Garden at the Mirage.  The cub is having a a party of sorts this Wednesday at 10 a.m., when he will be unveiled to the public (through a glass wall, of course).

Java was born on Wednesday, Nov. 19, 2008 and is the offspring of two leopards living in the habitat, Asabi and Mu-gamba.  This is the pair’s second litter. The previous litter still resides in the Secret Garden.

Baby leopards weigh approximately one pound at birth; males can reach up to 200 pounds at maturity, with a life span of 15-20 years.  After nursing from his mother for the first three weeks of life, Java was switched over to bottle feeding and is currently being cared for in the Secret Garden nursery.
 
Siegfried & Roy’s Secret Garden and Dolphin Habitat is home to six leopards, one snow leopard, and one black panther, all of which are endangered species.

Weekends and Major Holidays: 10 a.m. – 5:30 p.m.*
*Last admission sold 30 minutes prior to closing

Admission:

Admission to Siegfried & Roy's Secret Garden and Dolphin Habitat is $15 for adults, $10 for ages 4-12, ages 3 and under are free. Children 13 and younger must be accompanied by an adult.
