Last night  mixed martial artists (MMA) Chuck Liddell, Dan Henderson, Jake Shields, Punkass, SkySkrape, and Scott Epstein stepped out of the octagon for a night of powerhouse fashion at the legendary Studio 54 inside the MGM Grand. Drumroll please....the $60 million Join concert venue at Hard Rock hotel and casino has won the award for the "Best New Major Concert Venue" at the 21st Annual Pollstar Concert Industry Awards. 

The New Joint at the Hard Rock in Vegas opened last May with 5 stunning sold-out shows, and has been on a roll ever since.  Its an incredible venue, and we extend our big congratulations to the teams at the Joint, the Hard Rock, and AEG.

The Pollstar Awards were held last night at the Nokia Theatre L.A. Live in Los Angeles.

The Minus 5 group has just opened a new Lodge next to the Ice Lounge in the Mandalay Bay shopping mall.  So if you're doing some shopping and want to get a drink, or if that walk from Mandalay Bay to the Luxor is just too long for you, you can stop into the Lodge to chill out with a cocktail or beer.  Not a bad little pub, especially for a mall, plus there's no cover charge.  But if you're thinking about going to the Minus 5 Ice Lounge itself, you might want to read my review of it before you decide.

Baby Java is an adorable male leopard cub who is the newest family member at Siegried and Roy's Secret Garden at the Mirage.  The cub is having a a party of sorts this Wednesday at 10 a.m., when he will be unveiled to the public (through a glass wall, of course).

American Idol favorite and Gone Country starlet Mikalah Gordon celebrated her 21st birthday last night at Tabu Ultra Lounge in MGM Grand Las Vegas.

Guests of the party were treated to a surprise live performance by Mikalah.   The singer jumped on top of Tabu's tables to greet everybody and then sang “Killing Me Softly” by The Fugees followed by Bon Jovi’s “You Give Love a Bad Name.”read more...
