The National Hockey League (NHL) has recently announced its three year agreement with the Las Vegas Convention and Visitors Authority (LVCVA) where its annual awards ceremony will take place starting with this year’s June 18 celebration. The 2009 NHL Awards will be a first Vegas and will be broadcast live from the Pearl Concert Theater inside the Palms Hotel Las Vegas.

Terry Jicinsky, Senior VP of Marketing for LVCVA had nothing but good things to say about Las Vegas’ first awards show in a recent press release. “We are honored to welcome the NHL Awards, and look forward to having the League's top players and loyal fans take a break in our wonderful city.”

In appreciation of its fans, the NHL and LVCVA are recently kicked off the “NHL Awards Getaway,” a package that will provide one lucky fan with a trip for two to the 2009 NHL Awards.
