The Hard Rock Hotel & Casino in Vegas is having a Grand Opening party for The New Joint of mass proportions; so extreme in fact that Sir Paul McCartney himself is headlining.

“The Hard Rock is known for generating legendary moments by presenting mega-sized acts in an intimate environment and this is certainly one of them,” says Randy Kwaskniewski, President and COO of Hard Rock  Hotel & Casino.

The New Joint, which keeps the same name and aura as the legendary Hard Rock venue, will double in size and will feature nothing but the best state-of-the-art technology, a $60 million upgrade for the Hard Rock.

But the New Joint will still keep the same up-close, in your face rock atmosphere as its former.

The Grand Opening weekend includes performances by The Killers (April 17) and Avenged Sevenfold with guests Atreyu & Rev Theory (April 18) while Paul McCartney seals the deal on the final evening (April 19).  (Tickets for any of these events are available at StubHub.com.)

The New Joint was built to attract bigger names and restore the Hard Rock to its former glory as a place where new bands broke and big bands came to jam at sold out shows.

The first person to take on The New Joint’s revved up tour series will be none other than Bon Jovi. “We look forward to Bon Jovi joining us in celebrating the opening of The New Joint,” said John Meglen, President & Co-CEO, Concerts West/AEG Live.
