Outdoor Vegas Wedding Guide

The Best Outdoor Las Vegas Wedding Packages and Locations

Vegas weddings don’t have to be held in an indoor chapel – there are plenty of great options for an outdoor wedding in Las Vegas.  Here’s a look at some of the best spots for a great outdoor Vegas wedding:

Great Outdoor Wedding Locations Just Outside of Las Vegas

The Red Rock Canyon Area can be a stunning backdrop for an outdoor Vegas weddingIf you're looking to have a truly gorgeous outdoor wedding, and you don't mind being outside of the city, you might consider a wedding in the Red Rock Canyon area, or at Lake Las Vegas.  The former is a stunning 100% natural desert setting located about an hour outside of Vegas, while the latter is a man-made lake setting in a resort complex that is located around 17 miles from the Vegas Strip.  Both locations are perennial favorites for those who want an outdoor wedding away from the glitz and glamour of the Vegas strip.

For an upscale wedding in the Red Rock Canyon area, check out the packages offered by the Red Rock Casino and Resort.  Weddings in the Red Rock Canyon park itself can be coordinated with the help of one of Vegas' numerous wedding planners.

Outdoor Vegas Weddings - the 5 Best Spots On or Near the Strip

Many of the large casinos feature outdoor Vegas wedding locations that are great for both modest weddings and more extravagant weddings.    Here's a quick look at our 5 favorite outdoor wedding ceremony locations in the Vegas strip area:

1)  Valley of the Falls at Mandalay Bay

Mandalay Bay’s “Eco-chic” wedding package includes the ceremony at their beautiful Valley of the Falls location, along with wedding photography, a DVD, and violinist for the ceremony, and additional “eco-chic” bonuses such as a Fijian natural body scrub for the bride and groom and one night in a spa suite. Priced at $2650 for a weekday wedding or $2750 for a weekend wedding, the Eco-chic package

If “eco-chic” is not your thing, you can still get married at the Valley of the Falls location by adding on a special Valley of the Falls add-on package (at $1250) to one of the other Mandalay Bay wedding packages.

2) Vegas Garden Wedding at Venus Garden at Caesars Palace    Venus Garden at Caesar’s Palace

Hail Caesar!  If you’ve always dreamt of getting married in a Roman garden, then the Venus Garden wedding location at Caesar’s Palace may be just the place for you.

The Venus Garden features tropical palm trees, a blooming floral landscape, a relaxing koi fishpond, and Roman-styled architecture.  Simply put, its a beautiful outdoor Vegas wedding location that ca seat up to 114 guests.

Wynn Las Vegas is known for its elegant indoor wedding salons, but its also home to a classy outdoor Vegas wedding location:  the Primrose Courtyard.  The private courtyard features a canopy of trees, a myriad of flowers, and two graceful fountains.  Rental of the courtyard is on an hourly basis, at $1500 an hour, which includes seating for up to 100 guests.  Additional wedding services (such as photography, flowers, music or food) can be added a la carte, or by combining the Courtyard rental with a Wynn wedding package.

4) Spring's Preserve

Springs Preserve is a Great Spot for an Outdoor Vegas WeddingJust 5 miles from the main part of the Vegas strip and only 3 miles from downtown lies one of Vegas' best kept secrets:  Springs Preserve.  The preserve is a 180 acre cultural and historical setting that is listed on the register of National Historic Places.  And while the Preserves is at a historic location, it offers thoroughly modern amenities, such as LED-lighted scenery.

Springs Preserve features several unique outdoor wedding ceremony locations that can accomodate both small and large weddings.  The Gardens Arboretum location offers a lush garden setting for ceremonies of up to 100 guests, while two outdoor amphiteaters offer a beautiful setting for weddings of up to 250 or 500 guests, respectively.

Wedding receptions can also be held at the Springs Preserve in a number of indoor and outdoor locations.  For more information, call the Preserve's Group Sales and Special Events office at (702) 822-8719.

5)  Terraza at MGM Grand

MGM Grand’s Terraza wedding package includes use of the Terraza patio, photos, a DVD and more. Priced at $2100, the Terraza package is an economical plan for those who expect to have up to 100 guests.  Aside from the economy of this location, we also love its romantic setting and its proximity to many of the great restaurants at MGM Grand.

Other great outdoor Vegas wedding locations at hotels on the Vegas strip include:

  • the Terrace at Bellagio
  • the Bridge at the Venetian
  • gondolas at the Venetian (from $800)
  • the observation deck atop Paris Las Vegas’ Eiffel Tower
  • the Terrace at the Venetian (from $7,500 for a ceremony)
  • the spots at Chapel of the Flowers (which has gazebo or garden weddings from a mere $395)
  • And of course we can’t forget the outdoor beach and pool wedding locations in Las Vegas.

Vegas Beach and Pool Weddings

For a more casual outdoor wedding in Vegas, you might consider having a Vegas beach wedding or cabana wedding.

We’ve found several options for a Vegas pool or beach wedding ceremony:

  • a cabana or Vegas beach wedding at Mandalay Bay (from $2800)
  • a pool area wedding at MGM Grand (packages from $4900)
  • a cabana wedding at Paris Las Vegas (from $3200 for up to 18 people),
  • a pool terrace wedding at Planet Hollywood (basic packages from $1000),
  •  a wedding ceremony under the Palapa Hut at Hard Rock’s main pool (price unknown).

Tips:  Be aware that some of the beachside or poolside wedding packages include photography and use of the cabana for the day, while other packages are for the location only, so be sure to do your research when comparing packages.  Also note that Vegas beach or pool weddings are typically available from April - October, with the specific dates varying by property.
