Las Vegas boutique hotels come in an astounding variety of shapes, sizes and amenities. Here's our guide to the best of the best boutique hotels in Las Vegas.
Las Vegas Boutique Hotels: Hip and Chic
Before we list some of the best of the best boutique hotels in Las Vegas, let’s take a quick look at how, exactly, a boutique hotel is defined.
What is a Boutique Hotel?
From information we’ve gathered, it appears that people have different ideas of what they mean when they express an interest in such hotels.
The term “boutique hotel” first appeared in the 1980’s to describe very small, hip, themed hotels, sometimes called “designer hotels".
These hotels were uniquely styled to appeal to guests tired of huge chain hostelries. The highly touted “W” hotels that began on Lexington Avenue in New York City are a superb example of this movement toward the small, unique and luxurious in hotels.
Some would describe the boutique hotel as very designer-influenced, regardless of size – for others, luxury and services make the difference.
However you choose to define the term, we’re sure you’ll find a lot to love about our Las Vegas boutique hotel choices!

Palms Casino Resort
The Palms is a “personality” hotel that has a very hip following. A lot of the appeal of the Palms Casino Resort is obviously in its fantasy suites, ranging from its Hugh Hefner Sky Villa to its “Real World” suite where the 2002 MTV show was filmed. For something a little less splashy, the sumptuous Superior Guestrooms and Junior Suites offer LCD TV’s, Jacuzzi tubs, Bose sound systems, and an awesome view of the Strip below. Some amenities you won’t find anywhere else include the world’s only Playboy Club, and Moon, the rooftop club with a retractable roof. ![]()

The Hard Rock Hotel and Casino
This hotel has been attracting that most sought-after demographic, the 20-to-30-somethings with money to spend and a special place where they can flock together to spend it. The Hard Rock is located a bit away from the Strip, so it doesn’t feel quite as shoe-horned in place. The true boutique feel is in the very hip, contemporary rooms, with their modern light fixtures and French doors offering pool or mountain views. If the hip, the cool and the contemporary is your style, then your Las Vegas boutique hotel is definitely the Hard Rock. ![]()
Wynn Las Vegas
If “upscale” and “cool elegance” define the boutique hotel for you, you’ll love the Wynn.
